eames® walnut ("time-life") stools Designed by Charles and Ray Eames
A stool? A table? A plant stand? We admit we have a hard time categorizing
this product. Designed in 1960 as a low table for the Time-Life Building in
New York, the walnut stools became Ray Eames' favorite seats. They were
liberally scattered about the Eames home in Pacific Palisades. Available in
three different profiles, they combine the sumptuous solidity of rich
walnut with the no-fuss utility of furniture that can be moved anywhere as
needed. Solid walnut finished in gunstock oil. Concave top and bottom surfaces.
